What we do
Citizen's Education Development Foundation
In 1993 CEDF launched the mobile school housed in a custom-built Hino bus with seating for 24 children.
CEDF runs 20 home schools in Karachi’s slums educating 500 of Karachi’s forgotten children.
CEDF offers scholarships to those unable to afford the cost of purchasing books and uniforms.
The Citizen’s Education Development Foundation (CEDF) is an innovative and bold program with the aim of educating the children of the poorest of the poor living in the “Kachi Abadies” around Karachi, who have missed out on formal schooling because of financial inability, absence of a school in the area, lack of transportation, social restriction for girls, or simply parental apathy. Through our home schools, mobile schools and student sponsorship programs we educate over 700 kids annually empowering them to reach for a brighter future.
